Individuals in this role will analyze complex premium and medical cost data to support decision-making processes and provide insight that helps our business partners, our plan sponsors, and Aetna achieve their financial goals.
Fundamental Components:The primary functions of this position include:Drive collaboration among key business constituents to determine the drivers of UW margin performanceAnalyze and understand the relationship between Financial Statement (FS) and Date of Service (DOS) results to promote a culture of analytic excellenceSupport Actuarial by facilitating a deeper understanding of emerging experienceProvide analysis, reporting, and commentary to support the quarterly Forecast Cycle and annual Plan CycleSupport analysis and materials for the monthly Operating Committee (OC) meetingSupport analysis and materials for the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) meetingUnderstand, analyze, and maintain the Gross-to-Net (G2N) Reports for both premium yield and medical cost trendPerform ad hoc analyses of premium and medical cost outliers
Required Skills:BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:2 years finance related experience, healthcare a plus (generally required).Strong communication and collaboration skillsExperience working with large data setsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsProficient with Microsoft Excel
